24 Hours in Madrid

In this post I wanted to describe and share what I did the first 24 hours of my trip to Madrid. After everything that happened in this dat in madrid, I decided to write it and blog about it. As my trip conitnued I decided to continue and do the same for the rest of the cities in Europe that I had the opportunity to travel and spent time on.

Arriving in Madrid

At 8:00 AM I arrived in Madrid, met with my friend Francisco in his apartment.

Breakfast time

At around ~9:00 AM we had a traditional Spanish breakfast olive oil, bread, jamon iberrico, fresh tomatoes and coffee at a local cafe called Pancomido Café Zurbano, and we planned our Day out to them explore the city.

Daytime activities (10:00 AM - 6:00 PM)

We visited several of the main things I wanted to see in Madrid, such as, a local flee market, Puerta del Sol, Plaza Mayor, Gran Vía, and Barrio de La Latina. First stop was the local flee market.

Cafetín

Coffee break! Cafetin is a small and cozy cafe, were we had a cortado and it was really good. Maybe I should not have gotten that as it was quite hot the day off but me and my friend had a great time here.

Puerta del Sol

Self explanatory, we went to la Puerta del Sol, Plaza Mayor, Gran Vía.

Mercado de San Fernando

And we finished it off with a lunch at the Mercado de San Fernando were we ate various meats, bread, and beer for 20 euros :chefKiss: enough for the two of us in the Barrio de La Latina.

Refresh and rest

At around 6:00 PM we returned to the apartment to rest. and then at around 7:30 PM we left the apartment to meet up with another of Francisco friends.

Starting our night out at ~8:00 PM

We met one of Francisco's friends at florida park, we had some drinks, wine, and vermut here.

Moved to another bar called BOCADO

At around ~9:30 PM until like 12:30 AM we spent some time in this bar called BOCADO, drank some vermut and wine and stayed until closing.

From there we moved to Elbackstage

After el bocado closed we moved to another nearby bar called Elbackstage for like an hour or so.

Moved to a club called "La Noche"

After Elbackstage we moved to a club called "La Noche" at like 1:30 AM until around 3AM.

Sleep time

After 3:00 AM we returned to the apartment to rest and sleep. This would be the end of my 24 hours in Madrid as I will be waking up at 10AM the next day. This is not the end of my visit to Madrid this is just the end of my first 24 hours :D
