Evolution of my Digital Home
A personal portfolio is never truly finished,it is a living mirror of an engineer's evolving tastes, technical philosophy, and relationship with the web.
Across five years and four major rewrites, this platform shifted from static hand-coded HTML files into a dynamic headless Notion architecture, and ultimately matured into a high-performance, git-backed static engine powered by Next.js App Router, Tailwind CSS, and custom SVG scrollytelling.

Chronological Iterations
First Iteration
Foundations & LocalizationWith this website I fell in love with building on the web and mostly around localization, design and animations. It was my first experimentation with bilingual English/Spanish mirror sites and micro-interactions.
Second Iteration
SPA Localization & MotionIn 2021 I forked this project and made it mine: real SPA localization, new animations, and small details everywhere until it felt like my own. I still love that site, but the current one is simply more functional for how I use the web.
Third Iteration
Notion Headless CMSMy third iteration was the most functional and adaptable to me at the moment. Everything was done through Notion, which I used daily at the time. The friction to write a blog post or update anything was close to zero. The trade-off was that Notion API pagination and custom data visualizations were constrained.
Fourth Iteration (Current)
Markdown, Turbopack & DataVizMy fourth iteration is the most modular and unique to me while serving as my photographic portfolio and digital laboratory. I intentionally removed Notion as the CMS in favor of git-tracked Markdown/MDX files. This iteration empowers complex interactive SVG maps, D3.js and ThreeJS data visualizations, and opened the oportunity for me to create scrollytelling experiments.
